I also think that the evolution from Dratini to Dragonite is kind of strange.
Me too! From a "snake" to a dragon!? :p
Its not a snake, its a water dragon. most water dragons didnt have legs nor wings, but just instead a long bod and a thick tail to move them around in the water.
Just look at it as a frog, first it has no legs, only tail, body and head. Then it becomes a frog. As in mythology, some dragons don't have wings nor arms/legs.

I think a strange in is Nincada; sure it it evolves into Ninjask, but Shedinja as well. Only pokemon I know of that when evolves actually turns into two separate pokemon at the same time. Just struck me as odd.

What about eggecute to exeggutor? 6 eggs (or seeds) to 3 coconuts on a tree.
What is in that leaf stone?

Also Bagon is just a 3rd gen representation of Larvitar, Pupitar and Tyranitar, goes through the whole incubation process till its stronger.

My WTF evolve form would have to be Drowzee to Hypno

Golbat to crobat. You start with a giant blue winged mouth, and then it turns into a purple body without legs, and four wings.

Well, Shedinja is just the animated shell of Nincada turning into Ninjask. If you live somewhere that gets cicadas in the summer, you end up seeing their empty shed skins that sometimes still cling to trees and stuff.

In gen III kirlia would evolve into gardevoir no matter what gender it was... Then all of a sudden in gen IV they decide to change that so that male kirlias evolve into gallade... Then wtf ever happend to the male gardevoirs??? Have they become illegal or something?? To me, THAT makes ZERO sense!

Only if you evolve your male Kirlia with a Dawn Stone.
