The very day that the game is released, when you have unboxed the game & started playing, save the game, restart it and then download the torchic, and you should be able to pick it up in the closest pokemon center.

Type wise, Water is always the way to go for competitive.

Personal favourites and competitive play are 2 different things. Unless you can do both, ofcourse.

Personally, I'm against the entire idea of mega pokemon. I think it focuses too much on powerful pokemon, but they should be focusing on weaker ones. Also, the sprites look poopy. <------ OPINION, DO NOT HATE ON ME

Absol, Ampharos and Mawile are weak. But now Mega Mawile will be OP.
