also follow these steps to check what version of directx you have To use the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to determine the version of DirectX that is installed on your computer, follow these steps:
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type dxdiag, and then click OK.
On the System tab, note the version of DirectX that is displayed on the DirectX Version line.
On the various tabs, check the version information for each DirectX file.
When you are finished checking file versions, click Exit.
If Windows cannot find the dxdiag program, DirectX version 5.0 or an earlier version of DirectX is installed on your computer. If this is the case, download and install the latest version of DirectX.

theres 2 kinds of logs, one of them is log.dat in /pokemon/, please open it and tell me what you see. some exceptions generate a more verbose log file and direct you to where it is etc, but it isn't getting to one of those crashes by the sounds of it. but the log.dat always gets filled with messages from the game while its running, it may say something that helps
also, you dont have file extension shown but all the things that think theyre for nero are just text files, they open in notepad, you just cant open them by double clicking because the .dat file extension is associated with nero
id.dat just says what version the game is, don't worry about it!

XNA 4.0 runtimes installed
.net 4.0 runtimes installed
direct x 9.0c and above installed
a graphics card that supports direct x 9 and shader model 1.1 at least
the game is built in a profile that allows win xp people to play, it can't be win xp
another thing that needs to be installed is windows media player, it relies on it to play music
