The Most Unexpected Pokemon Encounter?

EV training. BAM, shiny Gloom. Knocked it out unfortunately... Same with a Machop, but actually caught it. Aside from that other random shiny encounters I caught like a Zubat and a Shinx from just randomly walking.

First time playing Leaf Green (day it was released) I left Pallot town to go get Oaks poke-balls. First encounter, shiny Pidgey...couldn't even get pokeballs yet. The other one was shiny Pelliper on my way to the E4 in Diamond.

The year was 2001, I was but a mere child at the age of 5 playing Pokemon like I had for years.

Walking through Route 30, I was heading to New Bark Town for an errand that escapes my memory.

Leading my party was a Typhlosion, Female to my luck, and a greater partner than I could ask for.
Walking in the tall grass directly after the place where the Rattata skirmish happened, A wild pokemon appeared.
It gleamed with the brilliance only a shiny pokemon could give off. And I knew it was am amazing rarity.
Shiny Raikou stood before me.
I had a cavalcade of pokeballs in my bag, including the Master Ball of myth.
One Great ball was my choice. And Raikou was mine.
I cloned him using the little PC glitch and I still have the EXACT same silver cartridge.
My Gameboy is different now: One day my sister (2 years younger than me) took it.
After much whining and complaining my mother instructed me to share my toys.
My argument was that she would break it, like everything else.
She drooled on it, she chewed on it, and she did everything possible to make me mad.
Then, my mom showed me it still worked, and I was overjoyed. Moments later, while my sister still had it...
She stepped on it, and broke it.

One time when I was playing Pokémon Emerald (at least I think it was Emerald) I was surfing to go get Regice, I got distracted and automatically ran away from a shiny Tentacool. I didn't complete the dialogue, so when I looked back at the game I saw a shiny Tentacool with the words "Got away safely" at the bottom of the screen. I will never forget.

For me, I was collecting all the items in the unown ruins in Pearl (I can't remember the name), and I found a shiny Unown, I caught it, but I but it in the box instantly. I hurt myself in confusion, why of all Pokemon, my first had to be one of the most useless pokemon. D:<

My first reaction was , once I gaucht it, I put it straight in the box, I then went on to find a shiny Wobbuffet and a shiny Abra, then my retarded brother deleted my game. If it weren't for the law, he wouldn't be here today.

I think Im like the only person In the world who's had this happen xD joke...BUT yeah, In truth it wasn't even me, my little brother was playing my Pokemon Crystal and came across a FRICKN Pidgeot. Had No Pokeballs and keep False swiping it from sadness. It was below Pallet town...thought it was Rare keep looking for it. Location Unknown...
If you ask me, I guess a Shiny Zoobat I caught in Emerald...its gone, somebody stole the game from my house xD it was a Crowbat R.I.P.
