Lock Pokemon when in new region

Hey there,
what about this:
When you played through Johto and get to Kanto, what about locking the Johto-Pokemon so you cant use them in Kanto until you completed it.
So you dont play with Lvl 100 Pokemon at start of Kanto and can restart with Kanto-Starters Lvl 5.

I would consider this to every Region.
After Kanto you get locked all Johto and Kanto Pokemon until you completed the 3rd region etc

Well that would make sense in other reasons, we are following what Gold and Silver did: no reset between Gold and Silver.

but you want to make the regions of all editions?
thats a lot and after kanto you are on lvl 100 with most pokemon.
you have to train pokemon you caught in new regions from lower level against trainers with highlevel pokemon. :x

this made me curious, sure it would make sense but seeing as this game follows Gold/silver/crystal, the journey just let to harder and stronger Pokemon to fight, it wouldn't surprise me in the future if we actually fight trainers at max level or higher, much like the scizor in twirl forest.
