no. what i want is the Gamemode Locking.
the online play is entirely up to anyone makers since we can make a server by its self and give the IPs to people who wants to play. that is an option on its own and its available to everyone.
Yeah but WHY do you want to lock the GameModes. There's no reason to do so. It only locks away the ability for other players to look into those files.

I have already stated my reason.
I want gamemode makers to have the ability to lock the gamemodes to play the game how its meant to be played or not.

that means Two Options.
1: Modifiable GameModes
2: Non-Modifiable GameModes

if a Maker decides a Non-Modifiable GameMode, they can decide to either give or not give the Files to the players to mod thier gamemodes later in the develpment.

this would make both parties happy.

as you stated earlier, .rar files would be a pain in the ass.(excuse my language).
so if the formula doesnt work, you change it so there is an option on how.

Gamemode Folder could be Locked, but you can edit the gamemode within the Vanilla Poke3D.
of course this requires another Poke3D Folder for modding a Gamemode. which is what i did before gamemode was considered.

Well, then I am saying no to that.

If you want to play the game like it is meant to be, then you would do that.
If you want to cheat and play the game normally, you can do that.
If you want to edit all the files and do whatever crazy stuff in the game files, you can do that.
There's no need to restrict anything. If they mess up their game files, they go to the website and download them again.

please note that the gamemodes are usually big because of the Songs taking most of the space. downloading them again would be a serious issue.
however with the locking method it wont happen.

however there is one downside. Updating the Gamemodes. that would be a nightmare. however, which is why locking the game in it's final version is recommended.

the ability to lock the game the way its meant to be played is what i seek. not modding them unless allowed to.

Again, that's not my nor your fault when they are crashing their game and need to download the files again.
And the game won't be locked, apart from online mode for obvious reasons.
The game is MEANT TO BE EDITED. Restricting any edits is the opposite of modding tools. I personally don't want any GameModes to be locked away from the players.

then thats contradiction.
you wont allow people edit the official server(which is obvious of course)
but not having other game makers use the engine to create a game and decide not letting people editing it?
thats bad. people whos into the gamemodes and have it played the way they are will not stay here long and will move elsewhere.

and example is RPG Maker. it grants that.
though its an application file. the option alone is very likable for any game makers out there. which is what makes a fun game. ruining the experience creates a bad reputation. which will lessen the game's progression. not to mention that people give you guys money to keep Poke3D afloat. that alone is another reason why im stating this.

You are not making a game. You are making a GameMode. When you say "using the engine" you are using the tools I've created in order to apply your maps and scripts to that engine. And this engine says "leave everything open source".

a Gamemode is considered a game. one that is made by someone using Pokemon 3D, that is open source. however, when the gamemode is out, it should have an option to lock to prevent cheating just like Gamejolt's server.

Vanilla Poke3D is ideal to be modifiable which is the core to all gamemode makers. that is not what im asking to take away.
im askling the option to prevent cheaters on Gamemodes.

Nope, it isn't. It's not a game, it's a bunch of maps, scripts and content files. That is not a game. It's like you would say that a Minecraft Adventure Map is a game.
Also, no.

how about a scrambling piece of code which encrypts and decrypts your gamemode saves?
Your answer to this:
then consider this suggestion rejected.
That above quote is your answer.

Consider that nilllzz want to make it very open, so it is rejected. Though there are ways you can do to make anti cheats but mostly only version 2 script can do ;) and it only happen in my gamemode as well.
