it started to happen more frequently after the last update, there is also another error (can't recall it atm ) that will instantly DC me from the server and requires me to log-in twice everytime

got the same error after overclocking the client up to 2.5x of ordinarity. The client however showed some resistance before failing. Investigated this issue a bit further and learned that, lately the amount of crashes has been greatly increased.

And now that i know that this issue also occurs regularly and that i recall being unable to connect to any service provided by pokemon3d.net about 12 hours ago, i could decrease the possibilities to;
-ddos attacks
-non-announced maintances
-high use of packet hacks and/or client-side hacks w/ negative impacts on the load of connections
-a massive load on the server.

PS:I had only 2 min of exp of the online playing/latest version used only for testing purposes. The 'assumptions' stated up there are based on nth but that exp, info shared in this thread, thin air; and are shared only for providing different ways of analysing to be taken into consideration for further contribution to the subject.

Interesting Conclusions Detective. However, i can safely tell you that it's not any of those reasons, and the reason the server is offline most of the time, is that it crashes and its moderator doesn't know it crashed. and the error has nothing to do with any of those too considering it also happen on servers with only 1 person in it.

thanks for proving me wrong as helping me achieve my goal, continuity of contribution! :p

i however mainly aimed at the possible reasoning of the famous crashes and disconnectivities rather than trying to figure out why the official server tends to keep remaining off, as the thread does not seem to be about it.

Your purpose on dc's is aimed at the stability of server architechture then?

it's probably the fact that the game's version is 0.46.2 and the server client is still 0.45.1, could be other reasons

i am a bit confused now. You claimed that this issue also happens in all servers including low-pop ones.

So lets say i want to host a server n i got v0.46.2 running up. Would i need a dif. client with the version number of '0.45.1' as the 'hosting client'? Asking this cus i am pretty much newbie and thus ignorant in this field.

I mean, the server client that you use to setup servers is not updated to the last version, sure it works but not fully.

So been trying to connect to the official P3D server with my girlfriend and we've been having some difficulty in doing so. These are some of the reasons we've been kicked: "You got kicked for bad connection speed." "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index" "Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." Not sure if it's all one big problem or just multiple issues culminating into one. I've never had a bad connection speed, so I know that one can't be true, even moreso when my girlfriend's not yet been kicked for that issue, and she actually does have poor connection speeds. And this seems to all happen within minutes of getting on, so the server feels rather unplayable. Anyways, not sure how helpful any of that is, but I'm also hoping that perhaps I just missed something in my search and that maybe someone knows of a way to fix at least a few problems on the user end. Anyways, aside from the constant booting, she loves the game, so game wise, looking great still :D Keep up the good work.

There are no fix for now but Nilllzz is working on the new server client which might just fix everything :)

Changed thread title to prevent confusion with arrows.

Well, this is mainly because that the server client is a bit outdated, and this happens on every server, but, If you just want to play together, you might want to consider making a private server, might be a bit better than joining a server full of people .
