Information for better training

I am seriously into breedin and EV/IV training and my only current problem is I can not pinpoint what base system this game is using. I mean how are we supposed to work out which pokemon give what. So if anyone knows what gen base system is being used that would be awesome. I thought it was the Soul Silver/Heart Gold base but some of the pokemon lvls and moves are slightly off. (I think). But either way a better understanding of the pokemon generation leveling system will lead to more outstanding trainers.

We are keeping the mechanics as up to date with the most current gen(gen6) as we can though some mechanics might be older......
