To start off, this game is great!!! The 3-D effect is awesome, the game-play is pretty good, and it follows closely to the overall Pokemon story you would get on your game boy advanced, or Nintendo DS. I know the game is still in progress though, and I feel like it would be good for the people actually playing the game. While playing I noticed a few things that will hopefully be added, removed, or changed:
  • The controls are hard to use. It needs to be switched to something like the way you move around in Minecraft to make the moving simpler. Also make it so that you can edit the contols in the options maybe?
  • Movement only works in 4 directions. Why not include all of them?
  • Battle scenes tend to last a long time just because of the animation. And it takes a long time to level up, and even then it is hard to see what your level is at the moment. Maybe remove animation from scenes so it starts right away with the battle (or possibly make it an option) and make it so you earn a little more experience per battle. The beginning of trainer battles are a little cheesy too. Also a few attacks say one thing and are another thing (Mud Sport is actually Pound)
  • Naming your rival, or the thief of the Professor's pokeball is (personally) a little stupid. It's a cool feature, but the game should name the rival, it gives the game more of a story line that you have to follow.
  • Plants are confusing. At least in the snow areas when you pick a plant, the tree disappears, but there is no dark patch to show you where you can replant. Yet you can't walk over that space. Plants might need to be recreated to make it simpler / easier to understand.
  • The game itself isn't very vibrant (at least at the beginning). The colors are a little dull. Give the sky some color, a few clouds, make the scenery more interesting.
  • Your head is too close to the ground. The view is kind of weird. Maybe make all the characters a little taller, and make the houses a little more real size rather than just above your head.
  • Also, include local multiplayer so that you can have 2 players working together to eventually battle the elite 4.
All in all, what has been done already is pretty amazing! Can't wait to see future updates! Feel free to write your own suggestions below! Maybe someone will look at them and they will be implemented into the game!

I understand where you're coming from with the planting thing, but it doesn't really make it hard to know that you can plant something there (you can just do the same action that you did to pick the berries to find out). Also, naming the rival is a part of nearly every generation of Pokemon so there is no need to remove that

Movement only works in 4 directions. Why not include all of them?
The maps aren't designed to have diagonal movement
Allowing diagonal movement would result in players being able to go to areas where they should not be able to go at that point.
Infact this used to be a hidden option but it was removed completely quite some time ago

I am unsure what you want here...
and make it so you earn a little more experience per battle.
The exp gain is the same as the main games.

This is a temporary thing moves that we haven't programmed yet are replaced by pund but only in battles

This is a major feature of the main games and we intend to keep it here

Snow only happens during the Winter and Fall seasons and seasons only last a week
it makes sense too since snow would cover the dirt in the winter anyways
You can still plant in them in the winter so if you cant walk on something that looks like you should be able to it is likely a planting area.
The game itself isn't very vibrant (at least at the beginning). The colors are a little dull. Give the sky some color, a few clouds, make the scenery more interesting.
The colors of the normal map items match the originals
I might suggest finding or making a content pack if you find the visuals lacking
Overall the vanilla game should be abit minimalist since it is based of off the original Gameboy Color games :p
Your head is too close to the ground. The view is kind of weird. Maybe make all the characters a little taller, and make the houses a little more real size rather than just above your head.
overall the buildings match the size of the main games
I might agree that for some people the positioning is abit low but it fits the perspective the character likely has
remember that the character is ATMOST one block tall so being at/just above half a block high from the ground fits with the size of the character
Also, include local multiplayer so that you can have 2 players working together to eventually battle the elite 4.
You can do this rather easily
for local play setting up the server app is easy
just open it up and have the other person connect to your local IP
The controls are hard to use. It needs to be switched to something like the way you move around in Minecraft to make the moving simpler. Also make it so that you can edit the contols in the options maybe?
I was under the impression that the controls were already very similar to minecraft
I will admit that while there is a slight oddity to them at the beginning once you get through ten min of gameplay you will start understanding it and after an hour you shouldnt notice an issue at all

Thanks for your feedback!
I hope I have answered most of these to your satisfaction ;)

Thanks!! I haven't really fiddled with the server side of things, so I will look into that. When I was talking about naming the rival, I was thinking of pokemon Emerald and forgot that this was more based on silver or gold. Can movement ever become 8 directions, and just go through a fix the holes ( that would be a lot of work though :p)? Thank you!

Maybe in the extremely far future when the Kalos region is introduced. Maybe before then, the function will be reimplemented as a Sandbox Mode function.

However, I do not see diagonal movement being a normal gameplay mechanic in Johto or Kanto.

i support the diagonal movement idea...but seems unlikely to happen...maybe one day
It won't happen. There was diagonal movement available if you changed the files for a couple of months in the beginning, but it was broken and caused a lot of bugs, thus it was removed entierly.

How about a Gamemode Creation thingy that would let you create a mod,and a Pokeditor built in that would work on windows 7
EDIT:
So, it could be a new menu option("New Mod") ,next to "New Game".It would allow you to create Maps and get them to warp to each other and add events,to make Modding easier.

Like That
