Implementing Individual Value + IV Discovery/Marking

I'm not sure whether or not individual values (or IVs) are currently in the game. If they have not been implemented I'm hoping that eventually it will be. On top of this request, the absolute greatest feature in Pokemon X and Y is the ability to discover perfect IVs by talking to someone in a Pokecenter. Please add this! Saves an amazing amount of time. Lastly, marking the discovered IVs. I would say this is also, an amazing feature that should be implemented. Keeping it short and sweet, hope I get some agreement.

Individual Values are in the game.
That's all I can really say, I cannot give an opinion on this, as I'm no hardcore PvPer.

Of course IVs are in the game...that's like asking "are base stats in the game?"
Not necessarily, the two are related but still require separate man hours. Who knows if they have written that yet, probably have but I couldn't find any information on it. Obviously breeding is in the game, so I assumed IVs would be, my post really is meant to avoid having to battle one account with another at level 50 (100 would be better but 50 is easier), check every pokemon you breed, punch them in an IV calculator, then hope that when its at 15 at level 50, it will be 31 at level 100. Imagine doing that 1000 times. Unless you happen to have many many rare candies just laying around.

I'm sure a tab could be added to the summary window to just give you the IV's, or at least a rough spread of IV's in the future. I'm more in favor of adding a tab to show Effort Values. Those are far more annoying to track than IV's.

Nah actually those are far easier to track . U have them clorored in the summary and if there is something u dont like u just use berries to remove the ones u dont like . And on top of that those berries raise ur friendship with the poke.

About IV tracker its a good idea . It will save us alot of time .

I have to disagree. EV's are more annoying to track. You have to make an entry after every single battle to keep track of them whether you're doing it via spreadsheet, a calculator, or freaking note pad. You only have to recheck IV's once every level or in some cases every other level (You can easily narrow them down to exact IV's by level ~25 if you use a calculator that allows data input for multiple levels.) But not knowing EV's makes it impossible to find the exact IV's. Whether the reason you don't know the EV's is because you forgot to write your gains down, or because it's a pokemon you got from wonder trade and you don't know what the other trainer was battling, not knowing EV's makes it impossible to know exact IV's. So a tab for EV's is kind of necessary for finding exact IV's, if they're for the purpose of hidden power or just knowing whether or not something is good breeding fodder. I'd be fine with having an EV tab added BEFORE an IV tab because I personally don't mind plugging all the numbers into a calculator like Metalkid's or Marrilands or Veekun.

I know you mentioned EV-reducing berries are a thing, but I haven't even found one of each kind yet, personally. (I only have Tomato, Hondew, and Grepa so far) Maybe I will find more in the future, but for the time being that isn't an option. Also, EV's aren't color-coded in the summaries. The colored stats are what stats the nature of the pokemon raises and/or lowers.

Note that I'm completely in favor of an IV tab being added, because that just streamlines the process of farming for desirable IV's. But I'd also want an EV tracker added for sake of convenience, being able to keep track of what stats you have EV's in for the sake of EV training without having to alt tab or manually write everything down.

You're wrong about the EVs not being color coded. You can clearly see the amount of EVs you have (and know which one it is if you do it enough) in the summary.

As long as I'm right about everything else. *Shrugs* I was just going off of common sense and general knowledge from the console games. I'm pretty well-versed in pokemon. But pretty new to Pokemon3D. (I think I found this 3-4 days ago)

I just reopened my game to fact check that, and I had no idea what "color coded" meant. My original reaction was "Oh, my jolly so-and-so's speed stat is written in red text and it's special attack in blue. This guy must have that confused with EV's somehow." But I see the small multi-colored bar under the name now. It's nice to have some rough indication, but it's even nicer to know actual numbers for the sake of building things. I mean, sure. Sweepers basic builds are easy peasy, 252 attack/special attack and 252 speed, and I usually put the leftover 4 EV's in HP. But some builds on things require weird splitting in three or more stats. I just want to be able to be accurate in building my team without having to painstakingly write down every single EV I gain or every pokemon I battle.

But for curiosity's sake, at risk of being warned for going off topic, what color corresponds to what stat?

Also I personally think the colored text for stats that correspond with increases/decreases from the Nature should be changed. Red makes me think negative, and blue is just neutral to me. Red for decrease and green for increase would seem more logical.

I believe they are in the order the statses are - HP first and so on. The berries can be bought on specified day in the safari zone .

Thanks for clearing that up, both of you. I guess I'm done inadvertently derailing this thread now though. +1 for IV tracker tab for summary. I'd be fine with it giving exact IV's, or just rough ranges, whatever the dev's feel is appropriate.
