Crash Trainer Battles Forcing the Game To Crash On The SS Aqua

I'm having a problem with the SS Aqua and not sure if anyone else is. I jus got on it from Vermillion City, and every time try to battle a trainer, the game crashes and shuts down as soon as the battle starts. I tried speaking to various trainers on the ship but the same problem keeps happening. I can use PC and rest in bed and arrive in Olivine City perfectly fine. But as soon as any battle starts, the game crashes and turns off. I'm not sure if this has been an ongoing problem, but I was looking forward to battling these trainers. If anyone knows of this and may have an idea of when it may be fixed please let me know. Thanks guys :)
