False.

A Game Boy game's internal battery has a max out limit of 256, and can never be reached. Therefore, the highest number possible on the Play Time on a Generation I and II game is 255:59.

The internal battery was there to power the internal clock even when the game wasn't running.
What caused the clock to stop at 255 is the way they saved variables before you had more than 2 MB space on your cartridge: In bytes. A byte can go from 0 to 255, which includes all possible ways to arrange 8 Bits.

Either way, you're still pretty much agreeing with me when I say the game stops at 255:00.

I started out with blue when I was young. My grandmother bought it for me because she new I liked the color blue. To be fair, I didnt even know about the games until she got me that. Ah, good memories. :)

Pretty much the same for me.

I'm kinda hoping Gen III gets a reboot like gold and Silver did...

What will it? Get punctation? :p
No, it will figure out that 42 is the answer to everything, divide itself by 0, die, and cause everything to be sucked into a minuscule black hole, causing everything, everyone and everypony to die in an instant... and that sir, is what will happen.

My first game was Pokemon Crystal....
It took me weeks to figure out how to get out of the house when I first got it.

First game: Pokemon Gold
How I got it: My grandpa used to work for the airline company. When he was cleaning out one of the planes he came across a Pokemon Gold cartridge. He gave it to me for my 5th or 6th birthday along with my GBA.
First Starter: Totodile
Team I had for Elite 4: Feraligatr, Ho-Oh, Umbreon, Ampharos, Gligar, and shiny Gyarados

God I wish I still had my cartridge oh the memories from that game :(
