Duplicate Help! I'm stuck and I can't move!

I can't continue my game, and unfortunately, I saved...
I walked down the stairs in Slowpoke Well, and this happened:​

Now I'm stuck there, and it's really bumming me out... I tried exiting out, but I saved because I had just beaten Team Rocket and caught a slowpoke, and I didn't want to lose that data. I was hoping that when I exited, it would spit me out on the ground, but I was brought right back to the glitch. Will I have to start a new game?! I really hope not. Please, can someone help me fix this?! Or fix it before it happens to anyone else!​

go into your player.dat file which is in the file pokemon/save/<save name>
change the secong and third lines to this:

Position|13,0.1,19
MapFile|azalea.dat
it should drop you in azalea

Yes, this happened to me earlier (another post under this forum), but in Dark Cave. This usually occurs when your player is moving left or right towards the stairs while the push forwards. Add some delay while traveling down the stairs to avoid the problem.

I tried to open my player.dat file, but it won't let me. Says that it can't open it/can't find it. :c How do I open it to change my position?​

did you use notepad?
did you find the file?

Did u open it in a text editor program like notepad or wordpad / word? By default .dat is not reconized so u need to select the program yourself

It is possible; I think I pressed a wrong key (possibly 's') while I was walking with 'w'.​

Diagonal movement can only be activated editing the .dat files in the Pokemon folder

im also stuck, but when i get into the player.dat how do i chance it ???

the second and third lines have the map and your location on the map
the co-ordinates are east-west, up-down, north-south
