You need Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet on any Nintendo device.

yea ik that but do i still need the nintendo wifi adapter that u use to need to plug into my computer

For the 2DS? I don't believe so, it should wirelessly connect to the Wi-Fi.

Yes, the Nintendo 2DS doesn't require an adapter of sorts to connect, it does so wirelessly (an assumption. Someone with an actual 2DS can confirm this for me).
