There already is a Multiplayer in game.. It uses Hamachi to connect and play. This next coming update there will co-op that does not require hamachi or anything, this allows everyone to play together up to 4 people
I understand the thread and your confusion It's ok you didn't know about it. Just be happy that what you say will come true in 2 days
