Hey guys,
as you all know X and Y have been announced in the form of a trailer.
This is the most excited for a Pokemon game since gen 3 so as you can imagine I have watched the trailer a lot. I have decided to do a breakdown for everyone of all the important things in it.

The trailer starts of with Pikachu addressing the entire world about a special announcement.
Then the cute little fella does a thunderbolt and it zooms out, if you look closely you see Pikachu is stood on top of the Eiffel Tower.

A little later on in the trailer you get to a screen of the new male character standing in front of a mirror, many people are speculating this could mean that character customization is now available. Unless the mirror was there to just show off the 3D.

The next part of the trailer shows a lot of great things, but I have highlighted the main parts.

Yellow= This is a sign saying '3' I believe this is how we know we are in a new route and all places will have signs like this.

Red= To me this looks like the new look for the Pokemon center. My brother thinks it could be a gym however.

Green = There are two dirt patches, it looks like berries are in the game.

Obviously there is much more in this screen but nothing we haven't seen before.

Here in this next part we can see the character going across a rope.
If you look at where he cam from and where he will land you will see 2 foot icons, indicating this is where you jump onto it from. I believe it will be an automatic/Small cut-scene but because of the netting below you many people think you will have to cross it and if you fail you fall onto it and land somewhere else.

In the next image you will see a tall structure in the background, it looks like the Eiffel Tower. Because of this and Pikachu at the start it is believed the game is set in France.
Also in the trailer (can't see it in a screen) you will see the character is 'gliding' across the floor, many people are saying you can have roller-skates instead of a bike.

Now for what was the most exciting part of the trailer (for me anyway) seeing the new Pokemon!
The first one we see is 'Chespin'. I believe the 'Ches' part of the name is from 'Chestnut' as it looks like a Squirrel and they like to eat Chestnuts.
This is the grass starter.

We then get to see Chespin in action!
The first thing I noticed was when it uses a move (it looks like solarbeam) it has a cool 3D animation.

Then we see it using what appears to a dark move (maybe nightslash?) on a Golurk. This indicates that Chespin could be a Grass/Dark, or evolve into one.

The second Pokemon we see is Fennekin.
This is based from a Fennick, which is clearly where the name came from.
It is the Fire starter.

we then see Fennekin in action.
The first attack it uses seems to be a flamethrower, nothing strange there.
Then it uses what looks like a Psychic move on a Kirlia. If it is in fact a Psychic move, Fennekin could be or evolve into a Fire/Psychic.

The final starter Pokemon we see is Froakie.
It is based from a Frog and the name is a mixture of Frog and Croak.
It will be the Water starter.

Like with the other two starters we get to see this guy in action too.
The first move looks like a water gun on first glance, but if you look closely it has snow flakes in it meaning it is an ice attack, most likely Ice Beam. It is hard to see the snow flakes so I have highlighted one of them.
This could mean Froakie is a Water/Ice.

Later on in the trailer we get to see what appears to be a new animation when a wild Pokemon appears. Nothing I can really say about this.

Here you can see a little bit more of what I said earlier about the new battle animations.
You can see a Pokemon (I have forgotten it's name. Sorry!) charging up an attack.
Then you can see Dratini flinching after being hit, like you would expect to see.

Next we get to see the two legendary Pokemon!
The first one is called Yveltal (ee-vell-tall).
I think this may be a evil pokemon, this is purely based from its name being pronounced 'eviltall' and we all ready know it is going to be a tall Pokemon.
Many people are saying it is a Flying/Dark or a Flying/Fire because of its colour.
This is expected to be the 'Y' legendary because of the position it makes shown in the image below.

The second legendary Pokemon is Xerneas (zurr-nee-us)
It is hard to say what type of Pokemon this will be as there isn't much on its design that is a give away.
This will be the 'X' legend, you know this from the 'X' in its eye. (Shown in the image)

The trailer ends on this screen. Look at the 'X' at the top you can see it looks like a pair of antlers. This backs up the though of Xerneas being the X legend.

You can see the same kind of thing on the 'Y'.

I will add more as I see it :)

Hope you all enjoyed this.

I dunno, at the same time of looking forward to this I'm having a little bit of doubt. The only thing that I like/bugs me out a bit is how they move from an overhead view of how the past Pokemon games were, to a new 3D perspective. Don't get me wrong, I was always thinking about Pokemon being like this, but moving onto this is a little bit too much for me. We'll just have to wait and see!

I'm going to pick Froakie. Normally I wait for all the starter evolutions to be released then I pick. This time I want the same feeling I had in Gen 2 where I didn't know anything so it was more fun :)

I agree. When B/W1 Came out I already knew pretty much everything about it (Freakin' spoilers...) so I didn't really enjoy it as much when they were finally out.

I already posted this in another thread, but here is proof that the game is in Europe:

The point of origin when Pikachu shoots electricity everywhere is clearly Europe/France.

I really doubt Chespin will be a Grass/Dark Pokemon and it's not that I am doubting your theories but my Pelipper can use Shock Wave, does that mean it is an Electric type? :p I think this also maybe should have went in the 6th Gen thread.

I will watch the trailers as they aren't really spoilerish. I won't look at pictures of the new Pokemon or what level they evolve etc. though. I wan't to find it all out myself :D

I know, but I really want another Grass/Dark Pokemon! The only ones I can think of are Seedot's evolution and I loved them. It would be cool. It will most likely be pure Grass though.

but aren't you posting on the website for a fan game where the games played from a 1st person perspective :\
