Coolest Rival?

What was the coolest rival for you?
(How funny they are, strength, design, etc)
Mine was Silver. He was fun to battle with cool music. And you could battle him. In the beginning hes mean... But he gets nicer later.

the first two rivals were best and had unique stories
since then everyone seems to copy blue's i have known you since forever and have always been your rival ting but the fact that blue was an @$$ made it better(not to mention the fact he also has much more talent as a trainer)
and silver is 100% unique for pokemon(sadly though he is not all that good as a trainer)

I agree with you that Silver is the coolest.
Blue was an annoyance more than anything. He never put up much of a fight and was extremely annoying whenever he lost. I don't even get how they decided to make him champion.

best but not hardest....blue was definately harder blue just didn't have much story to him Silver was always under leveled for me... Blue was harder(atleast as champion)

I'm a Barry hater, I hate his Stupid Bulky Staravia with Endavador + Quick Attack.

I love ??? aka Silver, His mix of doucheness and hate makes for a perfect rival, imo when you encounter your rival you should feel a desire to puch him/her in the face just by the person's attitude.

I don't liker the newer rivals, I would like to see a female version of silver in the next games, that whould be something, A Claire-ish rival.

A female serious rival is something this franchise needs. Hikari, Haruka, and Bel were all pretty lame.

Red is the best awesome rival of alla day. Whitout speaking start the epic battle and at the and he leave saing " ..." Is the best trainer! XD

I hated silver, but only cos he complained about everyone being weak and was always so pathetic whenever I faced him. I actually found the opposite gender rival in hoenn the most challenging of the franchise, and I liked the idea of Wally as well.

Coolest Rival ... probably Blue.. yet he likes to fight outside of Pokemon Centres when you need them healz
Also he's one awesome Gym Leader... must say

Blue was the only one I didn't steamroll my first time through the game, so I'll go with him, because he made me learn a little about the games.

Though, personality-wise, I prefer the rivals that aren't the scum of the earth.

I think there isn't much between Blue and Silver - both are good rivals - but Blue was a champ, so he's a bit better as a rvial imho

Silver's my favorite. While he starts of as a real tool, he redeems himself, and even tries to give the stolen pokemon back. If he didn't treat his pokemon so well, I don't think Elm would have let him keep it, but he does.

Plus the 'Silver ripped off your clothes' scene in the remakes gets bonus points for sheer awkwardness.
