Hey guys! ok so i posted earlier that i wanted to make a way for everyone to make pokeballs. YES YOU CAN TOO!
There is so many (in total by memory i think theres 26) So i thought i would make it a little fun!
i have the original model and the texture files right here. So let me show you how to create your own custom Pokeball.
The basics: A model is made up of a high or low res picture that is used to skin the model, in some cases the skin is able to be folded and multiplied many times. In this i will show you how i made the texture.
The texture has 2 parts, top and bottom. Why? coz its easier to animate and custom skin
however both skins are very similar. Go out and get yourself a 3d model viewer or you can import the model via photoshop and draw straight onto it
This is an example of what the final images look like... looks weird but let me show you how you map to it.

These are the maps, remember models are made using polys. You just need to color in those squares and when applied to the model, it can look amazing. Yes mine is made with MSPaint, but you can enhance it with Photoshop.
Make some Pokeballs and post pictures of them here. If you want, download blender or find a small model viewer for you to use that can import a texture file. I left them in .png format for those who dont have photoshop. Have fun!
Some pokeballs need to be customized via the 3d model itself, myself and Coleman can do those but i would like the community to get involved and make some nice custom stuff, even if it isnt Pokemon's original designs
If we like your design, Im sure Nilllzz can add it into the game.
Let me know if you get stuck
