whenever I try to switch 3D sprites and Animations off in the options menu, even after hitting "apply", they revert back to being on when the options menu closes.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Specifically, when you back out of the Battle section then go back in, 3D models is still off, but Animations turns back on, then when you hit Apply, it turns 3D models back on. There is no problem with any of the other options though, just those two.

This is happening to me as well.
