Pokemon Battle Sprites ... ?

POKEMON GAME, IN 3D! CHILDHOOD REBORN.
I'm a long time Pokemon Veteran, I've been playing pokemon since forever, just found out about this game (while waiting for X&Y)
Got myself a COUPLE of questions...And by couple I mean a shitton of 'em. But I'll keep 'em plain

Q1) Can I change this horrible stunned 3D model (which is great! keep working on it but I needs work before it's fun to use) to one of those older sprites? those 5th gen sprites? or those sprites from Pokemon HGSS? I mean the 3D model concept is amazing but it's annoying that it's 1/4 done and some sprites aren't changed..and aren't even moving...
is there any way to change that battle style?

Q2) What are the benefits of playing the game in Online mode vs Offline mode and visa versa?

1. This will be implented soon
2. Online you can trade with other people and in the future pvp. In the offline version you can change everything you want in your party, this is not possible in the online version.

Full MMO play was rejected as a suggestion, however there will be up to 4 players in the future.

Oh no you missed my point.
I did not imply I want this to become an MMO.
I said, Semi-MMO, with Focus on Single player with Multi-player aspects implanted in the future
