Also I feel I should probably announce that if you wish to have a gym team you MUST have 6 pokemon of that type
As of 0.41(hidden grottos) there are ATLEAST 6 different evolution lines for EVERY type(dragon, dark, and fairy included)
if you have submitted a team before that happens to not meet this requirement contact me when you have decided the replacement
any applications not updated will be considered void when I am making the final decisions(dont worry you have plenty of time for this so )

atm we are only planning 8 but there is room for expansion
much of this depends on how much interest is shown in it

I hope there be a expansion...I sure people (like me) won't like to fight real GL when they are their weakness type(most worried about Electric and Grass type cause of my Water type team...).

Also You might have to change some of the rules so people of types not on list can challenge GL for their titles.

I am fairly certain that you do not need to use your gym team to challenge the gym leaders

To me, it sounded like he mean to obtain the badges

If that's the case, then you can use any Pokemon you want to battle the gyms

Also If you look at this web page http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Badge#Soul_Badge (don't know how to hyperlink it)
After it list all the badges from the game(in the anime section) it say that there is really more then eight gyms in each region so you won't be going off Pokémon lure if you do...
