i know i personally would not like an MMO IN PLACE OF a main series game
personal things i want to see that i veiw as unlikely:
following pokemon(like hgss) - not in the preveiw and 3d models would probably mess with implementing it
touch screen menu(again like hgss) - with the implementation of the c-gear last gen there is a new touch screen tool to focus on and(sadly) ties up the screen....
also getting new pokemon is nice and freshens the game(in my opinion atleast) every generation has pokemon that are annoying or 'badly' designed
and in many generations there are pokemon(even starters) that don't go over well with many people.
All I care about is that there is variety in the pokemon types(yes having more of some is fine and going to happen but every type should have at least two evolution families)
and NO MORE FRICKIN FIRE FIGHTING TYPES........
I actually would be alright with an MMO... to some extent. As long as there is a decent single player mode as well, I would be all for a MMO Pokemon game, that is if it is executed well. I agree with your ideas such as having Pokemon follow you. I imagine that that will be incorporated somehow. I don't think the starter is going to be a fire/fight. How many times have you seen a fox with fighting capabilities... unless it evolves into Fox McCloud.

i wouldn't have thought a big fat pig would be fire fighting either :/(geez i would have taken ground or even rock over fighting at that point)
though i doubt that the fox will be fighting even more than i didn't think that tepig would end up fighting(psychic maybe?

oh i know that there are plenty of different pokemon mmos but what i dont want is to see it be a main series replacement game (if we have a year without a main series game that instead has an mmo i will be upset

The water type I bet is going to be water/ice.
I think the bubbles in the pokemon's design go against that, although we still need to see their evolutions..

To me it looks like they will probably be pure-types like Jhoto. Dat's jus me tho.

Oh, and:

NO MORE FRICKIN FIRE FIGHTING TYPES........
Not that it means much, but I think that water type did use an ice type move in the video and I actually don't think Nintendo would want you to start with a Pokemon that can defeat your rival's Pokemon with super effective attacks. I think that I agree with you that all of these Pokemon are going to just have a single type. I don't think the fire type is going to gain a second type and the grass type doesn't look like it would be compatible with another type either.

Seriously why don't they make a pokemon for android/ios? Carrying around a fat 3ds as a teenager makes me look childish. Plus it would be a lot easier to play on the go if it was on my android.
Funny, I think I have a GBC emulator for my HTC Inspire. Runs the original Gold, Silver, and Crystal just like Pokemon 3D (minus the 3D of course, duh). It was free.

True. And I understand, it would be awesome if Nintendo and Android had a heart to heart and made something new and incredible as a phone app. Unfortunatly, I think some people here have already said that without a profit and a cause that's not going to happen. Beggars can't be choosers, so I'm going to enjoy my "re coded stuff" in debateably the best region in the series.

I doubt they can do as much with an Android/IOS though it would be nice to see a Pokemon game for it and as for the 3DS, a lot of people seem to carry them around in backpacks.
Why can't they? I mean we can play pokemon roms with DS emulators on our phones. Although they are a horribly slow they manage to work. They even managed to port over Touch Detective to the android which used to be a DS exclusive. It works perfectly AND IT'S 3D! I don't see why they can't make a android/ios version of the game.
I do see your point, but Nintendo loves its' systems and games. I have never seen the actual Nintendo company develop a game for a system besides one of their own. They probably could make a game for a phone, but there is more money in it for them if they do not. People will have to buy their system to get their games and then buy the games. If it were on a phone, they would only make money on games and I bet it is a lot easier to edit the files of a game for a phone so that the user can have a much stronger team than what is supposed to be possible.
Its part of Nintendo's Business plan making you buy both console and game rather then just game, when you think about it the Wii did sell more then either Xbox or PS3

Don't complain about it being on 3ds, the ds has been about 7 years and has had 9 mainstream pokemon games on (D/P/Pl, HG/SS,B/W,B2/W2) more than any console, also i wouldn't like it if they made it for android, wouldn't feel the same, plus you wouldn't get the feeling of having that parcel with the game in dropping through your post box to rip it open in excitement to get into the game <3

Nintendo's limit on a system does seem to be 2 generations (plus a remake). Though I liked the DS, its' technology is becoming outdated and using the 3DS will allow Nintendo to make the game better. As for the game being placed on an Android, I do not think the Android would be able to process the game as well or even hold a game of that size without a large amount of memory.

A little off topic, but in regards to the previous discussion on which region that Gen VI is in, it is clearly in Europe.

During the announcement trailer, Pikachu is on top of the Eiffel Tower (possibly) talking about stuff and then shoots electricity everywhere. The point of origin appears to be France in this image. Some structures in the announcement also have appearances similar to other landmarks in both Britain and France.

i Doubt that the region will just be France(to boring region wise it would all be flat land...)
my guess is that it will include at least Britain like area and Switzerland(mountains for league?)
