I know that the Upper Cave of Mt. Mortar yields high levels, but is there any better place?

Have you tried Route 47 in the patch of grass above the waterfall?
I tried that but Mt. Mortar seemed to give me better levels.

Just compared them on the Wiki, they're about the same in level distribution.

Ah ok, I find it better, but I guess it really depends on what types you are training. I think it's easier to train most types in Route 47 since you are going against normal or flying type pokemon vs. the rock/ground or fighting in Mt. mortar. But just my opinion.

I trained my team up to their 50th level at route 45 (south of Blackthorn city), but there are a lot of rock types there and a lot of Skarmories, but as long as you've got something to counter those with, it's great. As for lv.50+, I'm not sure which place is the best at the moment, I kind of gave up on playing after they reached lv. 50. ^^

Yeah, caves are such a hassle to train in. Especially when you need to go back to the Pokecenter to heal and get ambushed by Pokemon all the way back. -.-

Oh god especially that, I had to Struggle my way out one time so I could regen my moves back.

Indeed. -.- And I try to avoid letting my pokemon faint, but at the same time I avoid using repels, because I don't want to miss out on shinies. x)
