Bug Catcher
Some things went through my mind when I played 0_19_1 and I'd like to give a few suggestions to the developers. First, I'll be clear: I completely respect what you guys do and I know you put a LOT of hard work in to this game. But to me, the game seems a bit rushed atm. It's really awesome that you can go up to the first gym leader, but it feels that there are a lot of things lacking on the way there. I think now that the game already has some decent story content, there should be more attention to the basic mechanics
-Pokégear: aren't we supposed to get this from Mom after we leave town? This means that if pokégear is implemented, we probably have to restart all over. Isn't this something that should be worked on before continuing the story? The guy at cherrygrove that gives you a tour should add your map to the pokégear too, which isn't enabled yet.
-Battle mechanics: hold items, switching out pokémon after defeating a trainers pokémon, animations and most importantly moves. Imo the animations can wait, but the moveset and the battle mechanics could really use some work right now.
-Completing previous maps: You can "completely explore Violet City" (except Earls Academy), but the houses in Cherrygrove and the house on the route to Mr. Pokémon aren't implemented yet.
-Trading and batteling with friends in co op: this is also really important to me and I think to many others
-HM's and TM's
-Sound effect + jumping animation when jumping over ledges
-...
I know, this is probably the more "boring stuff" of coding, but it will surely give the game a lot more depth and an overall more complete experience. Once again, I respect what you guys do but I think it's time to give the basics priority over story content.
