my route29.pokeI have tried adding a new custom pokemon from scratch by copying a existing .dat file changing the pokedex number and name creating new folder in animations with the same name put all animations in place added the correct crie for the pokemon in the end no matter what i tried soon as i opened up my party the game instantly crashed.
also i tried changing route29 .poke file saved my changes loaded up the game and it did not work i encountered the same pokemon as before even though i triple checked the .poke file and restarted the game multiple times it still kept showing the same pokemon. Btw i used your example in the mapping thread for the .poke file.
So any ideas?
i cant be bothered atm, sorry. when the editors ready i wanna just make tutorial vids for using it and that should take care of 'how to map', also it should go on the wiki too. i noticed that when i went through this to see if it actually worksI also noticed that in the .poke file the first line that previously stated the level range has been removed and has been replaced by the last 2 entries in each seperate line u might want to update your mapping thread to reflect this change DracoHouston.
Well that went well "Good job pikachu" lol
Seems the game only crashes when it tries to load the image in the party menu or pokédex and i have to agree that it needs to be changed so that it reads it from the animation folder that should provide flexibility when creating new pokémon.
