Speculation times ;)

with the official english reveals for the most recent news having happened this morning it is time to start speculating on what will be in these games!

first off 4 new pokemon were revealed:

Pancham, The Naughty Pokmon
Fighting

Fletching, The Japenese Robin Pokemon
Normal/Flying

Gogoat, The Riding Pokemon
Grass

Helioptile, The Generating Pokemon
Electric/Normal

for the pokemon I am suspecting that EVERYONE will want to catch a Pancham
and if it doesn't evolve into Po I will be sad.......understanding...but sad......

also we have Customization and it is confirmed that you can get different clothes throughout the course of the game

also we have a reveal of the new region: the Kalos Region!
and guess what....it is france(or atleast if it is not I will die of pure disbelief)

Also in the image you can see lots of rivers
I am thinking that instead of major water routes(think hoenn) we will be getting many mixed routes where lacking surf will prevent you from progressing for awhile and that might require you to surf for many smaller pieces of time.

Overall I am thinking that X/Y are looking good and while the whole customization think isn't really my thing I am glad to see them moving in on one of the biggest requests that have been made(wish they would answer mine and make Charizard a !@%!#$ dragon....but I doubt that it will hapen.....)

further map speculation:
if you look at the far west side of the map you will see a small town
my guess is this is the start point
just north of there is a circle of rocks
I am thinking we might be going back to the old pattern and getting a rock type gym first :/

from here I see 2 paths east
Head north through a cave and then to the castle
then take the forest (there is a almost path looking mark on the forest but I might just be seeing things)
Get ferried across the river
go through the research looking place and the desert like area to get to Lumiose city

path 2:
take the river with the small bridge between the "starting town" and the rock circle to get to the next castle(would have a ferry) pass though 2 more major places(gyms?) to get to lumiose city

from lumiose city I am thinking you head south and then east some how reaching the snow city in the central east part of the map(gym?)

from there I suspect you would head east, cross the bridge, follow the river north past the refinerly looking thing and reaching the mines, at that point turning back west to go through the city and the snow canyon place to reach the snow city beyond
The mountain to the north east I think will be post game material(Mt silver?) so from the northern snow city you would probably go north west to the city surrounded by mountains
I am thinking that might be the last gym
victory road/E4 I think are the areas in the center of the map on the river between Lumiose city and the south snow city

also there is a cave system to the south west that I count 6? entrences to and what looks almost like a lab
it seems like it has access from the north east side of the mountain
also there is an island system to the north
it could either be important story wise(undersea cavern in Hoenn) or a major not story landmark(Seafoam islands in Kanto) but I am guessing it will be decently important(not like the alterning cave on 6 island of the sevii islands)

You know. The map itself looks a bit like dragon quest doesn't it. At least the same style.

And I think the snow on the east is strangely placed. Its like one thin path of snow going through the landscape and ending in a snowy region

Um Delcatty, persian? Since when small domestic cats become rideable? I understand luxrays being rideable including Stoutlands but...those two? ................wait eevee and it's evolutions...as rideable? ....that is >>; over the top there.

Really, though, they should further separate Physical and Special from types by giving them different type matchups. For example, why don't Bug Buzz or Signal Beam do much damage to Flying or Fire? It might make it overcomplicated, though.
