Game Upcoming Changes to Multiplayer, Gamejolt

If I understood it correctly, it's not just "2 online features", every single online feature from now on that doesn't involve using Hamachi will require a online save.

to be more precise, 3 features; you lose friends list, GTS and quick join PVP.

you aren't losing pvp (it isn't in for anyone) this update that means you won't be able to trade but we can put in that for LAN/direct IP connections. you get all the key features but not the connectivity

I'm a bit confused... Will I be able to trade with friends or people connected through other services like Hamachi? I think I read GTS will still be available (not in GameJolt) for the "offline" saves...

@The-amazing-blackstar I spent more than 100 hours playing fairly, evolving all my poké without pumping up the stats and avoiding unlegit trades. And now we come to know that we have to start all over to prevent cheating in the online game (imagine my, but not only mine, personal feelings about that) because the staff, as much as they're blessed, can't do miracles and there isn't another option. This is wrong.

You'll be able to trade on the Offline save through Hamachi with the person you're connected to. This means you'll still be able to trade but you'll have to ask the person to connect with you.

Their reasoning as to why they don't let the offline save players get acces to the GTS is simple and understandable. I don't see anything wrong with their reasoning.

Sorry, that's not what I meant to say... It's wrong that people who want and believe in playing correctly and respecting some limits are "punished" because there are people who do not (and complain). Didn't mean to go against the staff... as I said, they can't do miracles, all respect!

Maybe because the "this" was referring to the whole previous part? OMG never mind... I apologize if I was mistaken! And for the staff... I can't go on repeating how amazing they are, it's starting to show... ^^

think of offline saves like the nintendo games before they moved to the NDS. with offline saves you have to do the internet equivalent of finding another kid with a gameboy and pokemon and playing over link cable. you'll have to find p3d buddies and organise coop games, once connected the people you are connected to will eventually be able to trade and pvp, over that connection directly

gamejolt is more like a NDS version of p3d, we have an online service (gamejolt) you connect to and connect to others through that. through that PVP and trading is relayed through the gamejolt cloud. the cloud is slower than a direct connection but fast enough and very reliable

gamejolt will have a global trading station, offline saves just trade 1 on 1 with someone in their game, same with PVP
