So in the past days i came across some news spreading around the internet as of late about the possible reveal of the new type.

FAIRY TYPE

i can't tell you more than what the name of the type is.

It seems however that it will be the typing for the mysterious Sylveon, the newest eeveelution coming with Gen 6.

There is speculation that older gen pokemon will also be retyped to this new type these could include:

Clefairy and it's evolutions
Jigglypuff and it's evolutions
Chansey and it's evolutions
Togepi and it's evolutions
Celebi

these are just some of the possible pokemon facing retyping.

as far as i'm concerned it is pretty plausible given the circumstances of the appearence of sylveon.

so what do you think?
do you see possible weaknesses/strengths?
moves that will be changed to it?
is it plausible to you?

The title is a bit missguiding, I believe you mean a new "type" has been revealed, but I can't see why it could not be true. Right now I don't believe anything I read however, until I get some official news about it.

also i too am weary, but i thought it is worth mentioning since so many other sites are spreading the same story. It's enough to earn a plausible status in my books

I feel the light and sound theory offered a bit more variety to the typing options, to me fairy is just psychic with a bow on top.

Who knows, so long as it doesn't effect previous gen pokemon to a negative extent

Honestly, there is a better chance there being the new type (if it's true) being Light, because Dark has been around for a while, so it would fit in pretty well. Fairy on the other hand........

I doubt a fairy type will be added but i hope Love type will be added. Sylveon ,Love Type?I mean it was accnounced on valentines day and its PINK.
