do you know that the sprites don't have to fit a 32x32 grid anymore?
you can make them as big(or as small) as you want :)
So you can have the sprites be the same size as in the GBC version
as they are right now, they are playing fine now. i posted earlier with an ingame screen shot
of GoldRetro which was included in the game

the system i've been using to make the sprites has been working fine so far :)

let me do you a question
what is the name of the sprite taking program?
please just give the name
because i want to do some animations to pokemon 3d so it wil give me a BIG help
the program i use is officially an in-game sprite editor. its meant for making editing your ROMs on the computer.
it also happens to show me the sprites from the game which i use as a refernce to paint.

unless you plan on handmaking all the sprites yourself i wouldnt recommend it.

if your willing to put the hard work for it. ill give it to you
thanks i will do it for you guys from pokemon3d:)
here comes a new texture guys!!!!

MERRY HANUKKWANZMASIRTHDAY!

now, i'll have to transfer this to .xnb in order for you to actually use it in game.

but i want you to see it and tell me if you like it or not

TADA!

The moment you've been waiting for is here!

after you extract the file you have a two options.

you can overwrite your current Falkner.xnb with this one(not recommended)
you can rename this one, place it in the folder with the others, then change your skin to the name you chose.(highly recommended)

enjoy! :D

yea compared to the gen 5 Sprites, the retro sprites will be bigger.
but once all the NPCs are done everything will be right as rain.

so for now it'll stand out size wise

i need to ask you this first.

what game are you pulling sprites from?
Gold Silver?

or ruby sapphire diamond pearl black and white?
pearl and diamond
(and maybe ruby and shappire)
the program i use is made for GameBoy Games only. what you desire is from the Gameboy advance and the DS which my program doesn't support. i can try and see if i find something for you however. or you can always look here:

I think Crystal might be the best for such a retro-project - because with this you have a few animations at least...

You are correct, I will be using a crystal rom for the sprites.

However, I am only doing the overworld NPCs and whatnot. I haven't considered whether I want to do the pokemon too
