I want to know when a link cable or metal coat item is going to be introduced. I have a long standing tradition of having a Steelix on my team in the Johto region games but my Onyx can't evolve without being traded.

You can edit either the .party file or Onix's data file for now.
There is no ETA on a more advances multiplayer atm.

maybe, if you know mods like "Bloody Platin" or "Blaze Black" where all pokemon can evolve without trading, in bloody platin, there they evolve when they reach a level, e.g. Gengar at lvl 40 or in blaze black you need their items to evolve them, you will need the metal coat and just simply use it like en evolution stone

are you able to implement this maybe later, only if you want of course, its just a nice advice

make a backup data, just copy the whole pokemon3D file and put it anywhere for safety

This is a remake of the actual games, so this won't be done at all.
Eventually, we will get multiplayer up and running, so you can trade and battle all you want

Umm, with the risk of getting scolded by the other mods, i can.
Im working on Olivine city, and probably every city after it as well.
With the update on Tuesday, i dont think anything is going on with Goldenrod, Nils is mainly working on the engine so we can make more possible.
As for Ecruteak, ive got family around for a few days, so i hope to get more done.
I am leaving Tuesday for the American mountains of West Virginia. No internet, no cell reception, no nothing. I will get Olivine ready while im there but Ecruteak should be basically done by the update. That enough info?

Lol i Believe until Wednesday or Thursday. And yes, I am like Red. I am a minor who goes to the mountains to train his Pokemon on his Gameboy color. I am almost certain all Pokemon games are just "Trainers" with gameboys and you play a trainer with a gameboy
