I started Playing pokemon on my sisters silver version. The first one i caught on her game was Mareep. The first pokemon game I got was Yellow Version. So of course my first starter was Pikachu. The first pokemon I caught on my own game was a Mankey. The reason I caught a mankey was because I liked ash's Manky.

Thats someone i really want to see come back in the anime is Ash's Primape. XD

Honestly, as a kid, I never watched the anime because they screwed up the english voices, making it sound so bad. As I got older, I tried to watch them on youtube, but the voices even now, they still can't get the voices right.

But i guess it is possible in fan made games, like pokemon vortex, so if that where my first pokemon game, which it wasn't fire red was, you could catch a wurmple

I say...charmander in pokemon red or pikachu in pokemon yellow. And yes I caught a pidgey too as my first pokemon cause I also love Pigeot in the anime.
