Orion's Skins

I'm working on some skins for myself, but I want to share them to you all.
I really love criticisms (Way more than compliments), you can say all you want about that, but I really love if someone can help me with some advice. Take in mind I've this is the first thing that I draw in my entire life (Really not joke), and I'm doing it pixel by pixel. I usually design things on 3D programs (Like Blender, 3DS Studio MAX, etc.), but I really sucks at 2D drawing. I want to learn as much as I can, so I need some advice!

Unfortunately I'm a perfectionist, so I'm not even happy of my creation, because I think I can do way better. Because of this I'm not going to release this skins pack until I'm satisfied with that.

But here there is an example of what I'm doing:

This is only one of the skins I'm making, and I think I'm not going to release the pack if I've not finished at least 4 skins. So feel free to give me some suggestion, usually I don't lacks of creativity, but I would love to have some ideas from you!

Thanks for your suggestions! I can make those characters in the next days, now I'm working on Gordon Freeman from Half Life, but I would be more than happy to work on your request as soon as I can! But take in mind that this will not be a fast thing, because, as I stated, I continue to work on a thing until it completely satisfied me. I think it can take even 24-48 hours to every skin.

Yes, I can do something for you, but I've a priority list, and unfortunately tomorrow I need to send my motherboard in RMA. So I can't do nothing for 2-3 weeks without a decent workstation.

i have to say in honesty.
the sprite example is good overall, but what you need to work on are Like Colors, Proper Shading, and Better Outline.

I've used this one as a reference:

It was posted by Splint in an older thread on how to make the sprites. The outlines of mine sprites are exactly from this one. (Except for the colors, legs, and obviously the hat)

For the color I've followed various NASA's image.

ok but i wasnt talking that, but how my sprites are, all the colors are blended to together.
Like how the color Red went from this color Red, so it can compliment this Yellow.
colors must compliment one another intsead of one color poping out only.
get me so far?

You will do this for me? Thank you so much! But how can I do the color thing? There almost only the white color on this sprite... xD

Mine is the Left One, noticed how the Glass on his face pops out? and since he's wearin a white suit, its suppose to make a shine in the outline, lets say if you put yours in space, it would look smaller because of your outline. and if you look closely between mine and yours, you an tell that my colors compliment on another.

Wow! I'm speechless! Really! I love what you have did to my sprite! How I can learn to draw in this way?

well i cant say for sure but i have to say its from experience since i was a kid (thanks to the GBA Sonic Games and Fan Comics)
the main thing you have to take notice is Shading. Shading is a big part for Sprites because it makes them pop out. its the same as Photography.
