How to get togepi egg without restarting[Guide]

A QUICK GUIDE TO GETTING THE EGG

I just thought I would post this for anyone interested
Before we begin a brief overview of what is necessary

• notepad
• player.dat
• register.dat
• Blank notepad document
• to locate the above files:

1. 1. Locate your launcher
   2. Open the folder in the same location as the launcher named Pokemon
   3. Open the folder named save
   4. Open the folder named after the save name of your name
   5. the files are in that folder

2. open register.dat
3. find and remove the following:

   trainer_violetgymleader,zephyrbadge_obtain

4. save the file
5. open player.dat
6. open a new file
7. copy the second and third lines into the blank file
8. replace the second and third lines with:
   

   Position|19,0.1,20
   MapFile|violet.dat

9. close register.dat and player.dat
10. open pokemon 3d
11. enter the gym
12. defeat Falkner
13. goto the pokemon center
14. talk to the aide(white lab coat)(if you have sic pokemon you will need to put one in the PC
15. save game
16. open player.dat
17. replace the second and third line of the code with the lines that you copied to the blank document
18. save and close player.dat and close the blank document(no need to save)
19. reload the game with your new togepi egg

Thats to much thinking for me all I did was paste in the code and get the egg.

Thanks DarkFire, I just used this guide to get the Togepi egg myself, with the unexpected addition of tm31, which I did not get the first time i battled Falker.

For anyone wanting to try this out:
For an even quicker guide, you can skip step 5 through 8 aswell as step 16 through 18, if you don't care about being automatically "teleported" to the front of the gym. I was already in Violet City, so I had no need to do these steps.

i just did all of this and then when i talked to falkner he still acted the same way as before. maybee the problem is that i already have the second and the thirf qym badge? i dont know what do do because every time i delete trainer_violetgymleader,zephyrbadge_obtain and then go back in the game, it just re-appears

do i have to delete all of my gym leaders and then i will be able to re battle him?

Okay maybe the badge causes them to respawn
open your player.dat file and goto the bages and remove the number 9

i did that, he still says the same thing

i dont know if this has anything to do with it, but maybe the game simply knows that i had already beaten the second and third gym, and in order to have done that i had to have beaten the first... so the first gym badge is re spawning

Well then you can probably just start a new game
play until violet city
get the egg and then put any of the register.dat lines into your current file along with the line for the egg
