Cannot save when playing on any server

Me and my friend both started playing this game on my server, but neither of us can save our games. We've both tried on different servers as well and neither one of us can get it to save when we're playing on a server, even if by ourselves. The game saves perfectly offline.

What I expected to happen:
When I hit save on the server, the game saves

What actually happened:
The game says saving please wait but doesn't save the game. It never comes off the saving please wait screen unless I quit exit the game or cancel the save. It doesn't crash, just won't save.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go on any online server
2. Attempt to save

This is an issue on GameJolt's end, nothing we can do but wait for them to fix it.

Thanks for the quick reply! Is this sort of issue common for gamejolt, and will it ever get fixed or have they cut off support for the game?

This sort of thing is not too common, they will eventually fix it.

as long as it gets fixed, thats what matters! Would be disappointing if game jolt had cut off support. Thanks for the help!
