you have to get the tm from the guy in illex
and it can only be used on the short trees

What trees are they? I can't seem to get it to work!

I'm assuming you have taught the move?
they are the short trees like the one by the guy you got the tm from
i believe you have to goto the pokemon to use the move(like using fly in the regular games)

I hope you won't mind a small correction You can use headbutt on trees simply by "interracting" with the tree while having a pokemon in your party with the headbutt move. Also, you can't use headbutt by selecting the pokemon in your party.
