Launcher Problem

I can't figure out what's wrong with the launcher. The first sign of problems appeared when one day I tried to log to my GameJolt account in-game, all I received was a "Timeout". I tried several times to connect but failed,Then I just ignored, and did not attempted to play the game. The next day I tried to play the game, When i started it from the launcher the game window did not appear. I opened the launcher again, and the start game button was grayed out. I re-downloaded the game after deleting the previous contents, and tried in a different directory, and yet the game did not started, and the button grayed out again.
What Gives?

Edit: I disabled my outrageous 5 antivirus downloaded everything again and it worked. XD

I'm having a similar issue, minus the attempt to connect to the gamejolt servers. When I load the launcher the start game button is greyed out and unclickable. After I used the download latest version button, it did activate, but gave me an error message. I didn't catch the exact message but I'm attempting to recreate the error. The first part with the greyed out start game button is perfectly re-creatable, as far as I can tell, the button is never active on starting the launcher.

EDIT: I retried d/l'ing the update and launching it again and this time it worked.
