Guess I'll try my hand at doing this, made the map and am on to starting the trainers and items.
Started with an easy one ;D

Note: This contains an extra NPC sprite and gate texture (not sure if what I did with the gate.xnb is acceptable as I could not read goldenrod on the sign any other way).

I will be fixing the large file size once I get some more time.

did you make this map out of another map?
because if so... it might be that the shadow of the old map is still there...
but looks very good so far!

The black line trough the map is caused by shaders that are some how produced.
I am sure draco will fix it at some point when he gets back to updating the editor but for now he is pretty busy doing other important things on the main game.

The large map size is also caused by those shaders atleast in my case i had 100+ shader lines at one point.
U can open up the .dat file in a text editor and find the lines that say "SHADER" u can safely remove those.

If your looking for trainer / normal persons conversations your going to have to either look it up on bulbapedia in some cases the conversations are on there but most of the times they are not and u have to boot up the original game in a emulator to find them.

The way i grab my conversations is i edited my version of the GBC gold rom to include different warps to certain gyms / area's so i can easily go there when i start a new game.

If u want i can edit my version to include a warp to route 35 and send u a pm with the link

except for getting a sprite make it like 70% brighter and use the shader to make it 70% less xD (pointless i know)

U could select the shaders in the pokéditor but for me most of the time there are so many shaders stacked on top of each other that it is hard to select and remove them.

Besides opening up the .dat file in a text editor and removing lines like these

It was made from a new map, I assume the large file could be the shaders Ill have a look or it could be when i accidently ungrouped half the map.

Thanx guys, the black line has been removed ! :D there was a shader, only one tho so I assume the large file is due to my ungrouping error ;_;

Well i might as well post the instructions here on how to add your own warps in case u want to visit some other parts of the map as well.

Lots of images incoming:
PART 1
  1. Open up JohtoMap and find a map u want to use for your debug / warp zone i chose the starting bed room since it is the first room u start in on a new game hit the tab events and u will see the current warps.

  2. Open up the Tools menu and select Map Properties

  3. A window similar to this will pop up, click on the edit button

  4. A new small edit events window pops out change the Warps value to a new value depending on how many warps u want to add in make sure u hit apply changes in both windows.

  5. Your new warps will appear in the upper left corner of the map u can drag these to a position u want.

  6. Important! Save the map now before doing anything else switching to another map will undo any changes u made.

  7. Look up the map u want to go to and open it.

  8. Select one of the warps that lead to part of another map click the follow warp button.

  • Dest Warp Map

10. Open up the map u just added the new warps in , select one of the newly added warps and edit the values on the right to the ones u just wrote down.

11. Save the map, you are done!

12. Load up the GBC Rom in the emulator and go to the map u put your warps in.
Walking trough the warp should now warp you to the map u wanted to go to.

Ok, thanx for all that I got the convos. Now I just need to find a way to add TM04 (rollout) not sure what ID it is.
then make the south guard house and its done ! :D
