That durant is probably a glitch in the wiki system, The wiki was like created in 2013, but the picture was uploaded in 2007, I can't fix that, so..we'll have to wait for someone else to do so.
That captain america is "Darkfire" one of the developers of this game, he changes his sprite with every new "full" update. whenever you see him in the game, know that you can't go to the area that he is blocking yet, and you'll have to wait for the next update to do so.

Durant wiki page fixed. The wiki seem to have added a default page that needs to be replaced.

They are nearly hard to find since it does not exist in the list of image but it is replaceable.
I mean he couldnt auto remove them from the system without rewriting the wiki stuff from the ground up...they seem to be embedded into the main wiki code or something...
so instead we either have to work around them or do the weird thing you mentioned to get it to work right
