Does the bar move at all before "freezing"?
If so, then your Internet speed is probably slow. Give it time to load.

exiting the loading phase and retrying usually works

ya it move all the way to the end and doesnt freeze it just wont load
I relate freezing to not loading.
Just be patient, and if you don't have any patience, exit and retry as stated above.

Seeing as I can log in just fine, it is likely a problem with your Internet connection.

Unfortunately, if waiting didn't work, and if exiting and retrying didn't work, than the only things I can think of are:
1. Restart your computer
2. Restart your internet router
If neither of the above work, then I'm out of ideas.
