Strangest Evolution?

In Pokemon there are many strange evolutions, the classic one is Magikcarp to Gyarados. (Japanese folklore not going into it) While in the chat I was talking to Lunick. I was looking through Bulbapedia and I ended up on the Bagon page. I noticed something, it evolved into a Pokemon that looked completely different to it. I asked Lunick if he knew why and he said that Shelgon is an egg for Salamance. If this is the case, Shelgon should come first. Egg>Baby>Adult. Circle of life...

Maybe, but if it is I think it should be weak. The other cocoon Pokemon are. I hadn't noticed it until then either, it's a strange one.

I did say cocoon first but I also suggested the egg thing too.

There is also this:

Skuffles

Fisherman
I shall now never look at Venonat the same way.

One I like, but is still very strange, is Feebas to Milotic. Its odd and befuddling to look at at first, but it tells kind of an "Ugly Duckling" story, if you will.

The Evolution of Remoraid is pretty strange too...
Yeah, this one makes no sense at all! Apparently Remoraid is supposed to be a revolver and Octillery is supposed to be a cannon (becuase of the cannon like nose) So it is an evolution of weaponry. Atleast they made it creative, unlike now. A bag of rubbish evolves into a bigger bag of rubbish

Lavitar>Pupitar>Tyranitar. Baby Dinosaur>Shell>Big Dinosaur...

Diglett → Dugtrio
Magnemite → Magneton
Doduo → Dodtio
All of these are just several pokemons in one: From one diglett becomes tree digletts, from one magnemite becomes tree magnemites and from 2 heads of doduo it becomes 3 heads. Makes no sence for me.

Magikarp to Gyarados.
Trapinch to Vivrava to Flygon.

I have always found those evolutions to be weird. The fact that a little orange fish capable of nothing turns into a powerful blue beast never made sense to me and I don't even see anything in common between Trapinch and Vivrava. I also have found some of the additional evolutions added in Gen IV and V to be weird. For instances, the Magneton evolving again into something weird and the same for Dusclops.
