First you need their numbers registered on your Pokégear, then just walk around and wait until they call you.

i was curious cuz i was in town and one called and i went to him and talked to him and nothing happened he said "hey i just caught a new pokemon, come to route 3o and we can battle sometime soon" so i went to where he was talked to him and nothing happened ;c

I've had that happen a few times, too. Try calling him. (Yes that is possible.) Maybe you can trigger a re-battle. :D

ok i was trying to get a free item form a trainer at route 35 too, but the game just crashed again

I think that was reported, Juggler crashes you when he gives you the stone.

P.S. Could we get some info on how many % from the pokegear is done ? I am new to the poke games and all I know is what I read in google, some info in the wiki won't be bad.
