Game Upcoming Changes to Multiplayer, Gamejolt

Offline mode, yes.
Online mode, no.

if I am just playing with my friend online (hamachi) will I be able to edit it?

Perhaps online and offline were not the best words to pick.

What we are considering 'offline saves' are the local save files you have now. we don't plan to do anything to them but we will make sure players who aren't using gamejolt get the key multiplayer features. you will still get all the updates.

Playing a gamejolt character will have benefits but they relate to multiplayer. for those that just want to mess around with a pokemon game with their friends we will continue to support local saves and direct tcp connections.

So according to this, the shiny Chikorita I won from the Weekly Giveaway will be worthless online, just like the other Pokemon I spent forever leveling up. In my opinion, we should just setup a filter so when cheaters try to battle online, they fight other cheaters. That way, they will all be frustrated, while the honest players prevail.

I understand the frustration, but those pokemon are still usable.

gamejolt is going to make finding a game easier but that doesn't mean people can't organize games over the internet over a direct connection

That'll mean I have to make up a whole new team of birds...
I really wanted to test my current team in pvp...
That also means that some of the birds I have now are not accessible in gamejolt...

we were going to have trading a pvp only via gamejolt but now we will be providing a way to do it without gamejolt. so you will still be able to pvp, just not on the gamejolt system.

IMO keep playing your game, maybe make a gamejolt character (you can have both) and play it a little while the gamejolt features get fleshed out.

Hmmm Well personally I wouldn't mind starting a new game without cheating, The player levels seem interesting ,Personal trainer cards = great,PvP I have been looking forward to and hopefully works well enough to match me with people around the same level.

I can't help but feel sorry for the people that put tons of work into their accounts, Although I expected something like this to happen it will still be sad leaving my current pokemon team,

Also If i'm correct your using the fact that the GameJolt save isn't saved Locally and therefore cannot be edited to achieve anti-cheating which is pretty smart.

I guess I'll stop playing Pokemon3D until that update comes out

This is exactly what would happen with Pokemon Rom hacks. Never get attached to your team when playing a game that has updates and isn't finished. I've been waiting until Johto is finished. Now with this new GameJolt integration I will wait till all the bugs have been sorted out to even start playing. I've only made it to Mr Pokemons house.

I'm interested in seeing how the Pokegear is implemented. Seeing as it is a phone. It would be cool to have it so you check it like a phone. Access ringtones so you can put them on for certain trainers that like to call a lot, background themes, interesting radio tuner that tunes into different radio stations, and some other cool features that can be implemented that wasn't in the game. Just some ideas.

Let's say... There is this feature on your pokégear that allows you to put in an URL and it will then connect to that Radio Station and it will play the music in-game. That would be magnificent.

Your Gamejolt account is the account you'll obviously use to connect with.
The SAVE that you have now, will NOT be able to connect to the Online features the Gamejolt save will provide. However, it will be editable in one way or the other.
For the Gamejolt save: You'll have to make a new Character and you NEED internet acces to be able to play on this said Online Save. This online save will NOT be editable.

I got TONS of Pokémon, spent over 100 hours (Not sure if the times works correctly.) in-game leveling, evolving, catching and breeding and stuff.... Now to leave that behind, oh man oh man.

I think I had some cheated Pokémon, but they were given to me through trade. I don't remember which.

If you say I did then I did! It never really felt like I did much because of Snoe's amazingly long and well-written post.

i completed box 1 2 and 3
most of my pokemons were diferent just some 2 or 3 marills that i breeded

nope no cheat pokemon for me not even trade

and we did the imaginations stuff and snoe made it happen!
