Well my idea would build off of their mod. like they can use the fake during mod and look up the info in it and such. without effecting the main game story or anything. prehaps have a note book/journal that details their adventure of where their at in each region as well(including mod versions.)The chip idea is just the exchange between diffirent stuff. it just options. Example:
>main region dex(the main region/Main region chip: A chip that comes with all pokedexs)
>Scarison region (the region my character from/Scairson region chip.Only obtainable in the scarison region)
>and so on and so on. like that.
Pretty much like a upgraded pokedex. Which is commonly used thre out the pokemon series games and all major real regions.So it wouldnt be that much of a diffirents or change in gameplay at all. Just a more of a tied in between the regions.
maybe, but this is how im intending to do mod support, this is again just my idea, nilllzz hasn't told me his position yet so i can't tell you it.
-you can make maps for p3d or mods. maps include map files, textures, scripts, .pokes etc. no new pokemon, moves or items
-content packs can swap content for p3d or mods
-mods are considered their own 'game', can come with new pokemon, moves, items, maps, content
content packs should be perfectly safe and client side, maps will be unsupported additions to p3d or mods
no idea how we allow p3d maps without letting people have stuff like a field of level 1 celebis with carbos etc scattered everywhere
