Just wondering, why arent the moves split into the types? I.E. Vine whip is special in gold/silver but its physical in Pokemon3D? I thought this was supposed to be a gold/silver remake?
And why arent there any move animations for some of the moves?
You're forgetting that the game is in very early stages and is INDEV (in development) so not everything is implemented yet, but in the future they will be.

Though the game is based on Gold/Silver, some things are different. It is not an exact replica of Gold/Silver. Some of the moves have been updated to what they are currently or to what Nillzzz believes they should be. For example, the move flash is classified as an electric attack and does damage when it does not in any other games, which Nillzzz believes to be more reasonable.
Some moves do not yet have animations because the game is still being built. The moves will have animations in the future.
I believe that nillzz is implementing the phys/spec split from gen 4
moves are nolonger spec/phys based on type but on that specific move
Ex(fire punch is phys while flamethrower is spec
