Never Ending Battle

Hi, i'm here to give information and asking for answer . First, Is it possible to be a never ending battle ? because it almost happen to me in the first gym leader battle. I used gastly(its my last pokemon who still alive) and the boss use Pidgey. I attack use Lick and its it didn't effect pidgey, and Pidgey attack me with tackle which is not effect gastly, i can't run since it a trainer battle. Luckily my gastly have curse which is decrease gastly HP and also decrease pidgey hp. and voila! i win. my question is how about if magicarp vs magicarp both off cant attack each other and can't run?

Struggle would fix this problem, but with the Infinite Power Points bug...

yes that's what i am afraid off. i hope developer can fix this one such as retire from battle which directly send to last Pokemon Center or another option.

I know that in the real version of Pokemon a Pokemon is banned from the online trainer battle because if the trainer sends out that pokemon and you send out that Pokemon the battle would go on forever. So yes there could be a way to have a never ending battle (I think it was ditto that was banned) but on pokemon 3D people can find a way
