    If it doesn't work after a restart, file corruption could be the cause - in that case you'd want to delete everything and redownload the game.

    Looks like the game exe can't access its own files due to lack of access permissions, could you check the directory's access permissions and make sure they're open enough to permit the game to use them?

    As of Indev 0.58, there is no natural way to obtain the Hoenn starters. You’d have to trade with someone who acquired them from breeding of the original ones obtained from event distributions.
